This is the armband that was issued in 1957. It is distinguished by the green cross and red letters. The border is red, and the background is white. This was issued with a pink elastic strap. Like all of the armbands between 1937 and 1964, this was officially issued to the medical staff.
One of the jamboree physicians was Dr. Merrill Sharp. He created the above patch for personal use. This is the first "unofficial" jamboree medical staff patch.
