1973 National Jamboree
The 1973 jamboree was held in two locations, for the west (Idaho) and the east (Moraine State Park, PA). The dates varied slightly between the locations. To date the combined attendance was the most ever for a jamboree at 73,610.

Similar to the second patch for 1969, a reproduction of the official patch was made with a cut-edge border, and a gold caduceus was placed in the lower right corner. All are slightly different. This is believed to have been made by Dr. Hugh Steele.
Dr. Sharp was no longer the chief medical officer at the jamboree, but he continued his tradition of making a medical patch where he overstitched a medical staff onto a regular jamboree patch. He also added the loop to hang the patch.
